Every Animal Crossing: New Horizons Villager has some type of default clothing, with the piece in question usually showing off their sense of style and their favorite color. Part of the fun of having Villagers is that players can dress them up however they like, tossing an adorable crown on their heads or getting them in the holiday spirit. As such, it is strange to encounter a Villager with no clothing at all, though a few Redditors and Twitter users have been showing off some naked animals recently.

One such image comes courtesy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons player lootuska, and it shows off the popular pink octopus Marina without clothes. While the player did not want to show off their naked companion, they did so anyway, asking whether the bug they found was new. In the image, Marina can be seen with several suction cups on her arms and body, showing that Nintendo fully modeled her beneath the clothing. Regardless, it is a major change of pace for players, though commenters made it clear that this has not been the only appearance of the bug.

Twitter user @Lotty_The_Cat shared footage of a cafe they made through the Happy Home Paradise DLC, with the video showing several naked Villagers inside. Joking that “it’s not that kind of cafe,” the player was clearly left feeling a bit uncomfortable by the bug in question. Another Twitter post from @Diego13303 showcased their nude cafe workers, and given the use of caps and the word “help,” it seems like they are not happy about the removal of clothing, either.

However, it is worth noting that some Animal Crossing: New Horizons players are enjoying the bug. For example, Redditor acnhsulky highlighted how “cute” the duck Villager Molly looks. Their argument is a fair one, as Molly’s white stomach and brown body can be seen, two things that were not visible prior to the bug. Given the fact that some players are liking the naked Villagers, and that Nintendo put the time and effort into designing their entire bodies, perhaps an option to let them go clothes-free would be appreciated by the game’s community.

It is worth noting that the post about naked Molly was made 25 days ago, which is around the time of the 2.0 update and Happy Home Paradise – meaning they could be the cause of the problem. With a small Animal Crossing: New Horizons update rumored for Christmas, perhaps the nudity bug will be addressed by Nintendo soon.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch.
