The Golden Net
Nets are used in Animal Crossing: New Horizons for catching bugs and catching cherry blossom petals. Players can use the flimsy net for 10 bugs, the net for 30 bugs, and the gold net for about 100 bugs, roughly anyway. The 100 bugs is not as specific, but it certainly is a lot more than any of the other nets.

Getting the Gold Net
Players who are collecting all of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons gold tools know that none of these recipes are easy to get. Each has its own challenge, including helping Gulliver 30 times or collecting all of the fish. For the gold net though, players have to collect so many bugs.
There are about 80 total species of bugs that players can catch in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and they will have to collect each one to get the gold net recipe, even the very elusive Madagascan Sunset Moth. Once the bug part of the Critterpedia is completely full, players will get the recipe in the mail as a gift.
Some of the critters that players need for this achievement won’t be available immediately; many of the bugs and fish are seasonal. So either players will have to wait it out, or travel through time in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Crafting the Gold Net
To be able to craft the net, players will need on regular net and one gold nugget. Regular net recipes can be bought with Nook miles from the Kiosk; the recipe book for all the regular tools comes together as a package deal for 3,000 miles. Once players have the regular net and one golden nugget, they will be able to craft it at their own crafting bench or Tom Nook’s. Then players can show off their new amazing gold tools to all their new Animal Crossing: New Horizons friends.
