Everything that can be done in Nook Shopping from the Nook Stop terminal can be done through the app. This gives Animal Crossing players the comfortability of browsing what is for sale while being anywhere on their island, saving them a trip to Residential Services. The only downside is that players can not make any purchases through the app while visiting another island.

In order to obtain access to the Nook Shopping app, all players have to do is make 100 purchases from within Nook Shopping. This is simple, yet difficult, as the purchases themselves aren’t complicated, though the length of time to get it done is long, as players are limited in how many items they can purchase per day.

There are alternative methods to speed up the process, like time travel, and making the 100 purchases can easily be done if players are taking things day by day. Since players are limited to five purchases a day, they can also make use of sending gifts to their friends, which will count towards progressing the challenge a bit quicker, as well as helping out some friends with items they may need.

Gifting in Animal Crossing is easy but players are limited to gifting two items per day. This means that players should try to find as many people as possible to send gifts to if they want the app a bit more quickly. Without sending any gifts whatsoever, the process will take exactly 20 days if players are buying the max amount of things from Nook Shopping every single day.

This process can also be tracked in case players forget how many purchases they have made while trying to get the app. If players head over to the Nook Mileage app, they have the ability to see a challenge called “Shop to it!” which will allow for tracking of how many purchases have been made within Nook Shopping. The Nook Shopping app is definitely worth having if players want enough items for a 5-star island.
