Whether players are trying to make a model with CJ or simply want to fill up their museum with every type of fish that is available in the game, Sea Bass have often managed to get in the way. Like their name suggests, they can be found in the sea, though their shadow size is shared with a large number of fish that players will actually want to catch. However, because other fish are set to be rare and Sea Bass are not, players are likely to catch a Sea Bass more than any other creature when they fish on their beaches – a situation made more annoying by how little they sell for at Nook’s Cranny.

Most players will be familiar with the experience of trying to catch a fish before the month changes and it leaves, only to get a massive lineup of Sea Bass instead. With players forced to dig up lots of clams for bait because of the troublesome Sea Bass, the fish has become despised by many. However, while most just treat it as a meme and avoid fishing in the sea unless they have to, Reddit user Isg1399 went out of their way to threaten the Sea Bass with an official warning on their beach.
The image of the anti-Sea Bass area is genuinely hilarious, as Isg1399 has used one of Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ reactions to give their character an imposing stare. While they are staring down the Sea Bass that may be thinking of closing in on the shore, they also made a custom sign. On the sign, a Sea Bass can be seen clearly, with a red circle around the fish and a line going through it. While making the sign likely took a lot of time and effort, the fan did not stop there.
Isg1399’s hatred for Sea Bass is clearly on another level, as they used Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ cooking mechanic to make some Sea Bass meals. They then lined up the six dishes on the shore, with the dead Sea Bass being a terrifying message to any other members of the species. With Isg1399 planning to cook and eat any Sea Bass that dares come close to their island, their warning is loud and clear.
Unsurprisingly, this hilarious Animal Crossing: New Horizons creation has been a hit with fans. With over 13,000 upvotes in a single day, perhaps others will be inspired to make a similar area on their own islands.
