Now, it appears that fan creations in Animal Crossing: New Horizons takes inspiration from something that is closer to home in the form of another popular Nintendo franchise. Reddit user PairofCellos33 has since created the perfect crossover between Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda. The user shared a video showcasing their character donning a recreation of Link’s outfit from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, the most impressive part of this unofficial Animal Crossing and The Legend of Zelda crossover is the recreation of a Zelda-inspired dungeon.

The clip uploaded by the Reddit user showed a short tour of the dungeon, which was made possible in Animal Crossing: New Horizons via the new terraforming feature. The tour began with the player jumping across gaps to enter the dungeon, and the terraformed map even included barrels that contain rupees in various The Legend of Zelda games. The player then ran through a small maze before reaching their version of a Fairy fountain.

The end of the dungeon wouldn’t be complete without some sort of monster waiting for the player. Of course, the monster that is sitting at the end of the recreated dungeon is just a statue that players can purchase from Tom Nook’ catalog via Nook Miles. While it may not be a real monster that players can fight, it still made an epic end to an impressive fan creation of a dungeon inspired by The Legend of Zelda franchise. Looking at the video posted by the player, one can only imagine the dedication and the hours spent in terraforming the island to make a perfect recreation of a Zelda-inspired dungeon.

Of course, this amazing fan crossover between Animal Crossing and The Legend of Zelda wouldn’t be possible without the new terraforming feature that Nintendo introduced in the game. Ever since the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons several weeks ago, players have been taking advantage of the game’s new features including a wide variety of customization options that allow players to recreate any just about any outfit they could think of. With so many fan creations surfacing online, it is interesting to see what Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will be up to next.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now for the Nintendo Switch.
