Celeste is an intriguing side character who is surrounded by mysteries and unanswered questions, especially concerning her strange abilities and unpredictable behavior. She is the younger sister of Blathers, the owl villager who serves as the museum director, and looks like a smaller version of him with red feathers and no bow tie.

Redditor bunhoneys shared a photograph of their adorable new Celeste tattoo, which was done by tattoo artist Carly Kawaii in Melbourne, Australia. This isn’t the first time that Celeste fans have created tribute art to her, but it may be one of the first times they applied that art to their own skin. The tattoo shows Celeste seated on a yellow crescent moon, surrounded by stars, hearts, sparkles, and what appear to be flowers or candy. A noticeable pink and purple glow surrounds most of the shapes and brings the full tattoo together.

The shapes accompanying Celeste appear to have been taken from some of the many DIY recipes she can gift to the player. Encountering Celeste can earn gamers a variety of recipes for furniture, decorations, lights, clothing items, and even flooring. Observant viewers might also notice that the crescent moon she’s sitting on is actually the Crescent-moon chair item, complete with a string of beads dangling from the upper point. The hearts and sparkles, however, seem to simply be there to symbolize the character’s cuteness.

According to bunhoneys, the tattoo was applied in just one session that lasted about seven hours with a couple of snack and coffee breaks. This might be slightly longer than a more physical tribute to Celeste would take to make, but it’s quite fast for such a large and detailed tattoo. Bunhoneys spoke highly of Carly Kawaii’s skill and the studio she was working out of. They praised her to another fan who noted that their boyfriend had Carly Kawaii booked for April and also intended to get a tattoo of a video game character.
