With so many customization options available on ACNH, which now has more content due to the 2021 2.0 free update and Happy Home Paradise DLC, fans often share the themed homes and rooms that they create to the game’s online community. Many forum threads are often filled with amazing interior design, which often inspire other fans to recreate them on their own island, or encourage them to work on their own designs. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons community also freely shares their custom design codes or Dream Address IDs with each other, proving just how helpful and supportive the player base is.

Sharing their shocking discovery on Reddit, user SAUbjj posted a short video that showed a ghost appearing in one of the game’s wallpapers named Graveyard Wall. In the footage, the player has applied the Graveyard Wall on their Animal Crossing: New Horizons basement, covering all four walls of the room. As SAUbjj changes the brightness of the room’s lighting, they pan the camera around the walls, and continuously spot a white figure seemingly coming closer every time they turn the lights on and off. This gives the room a creepy feeling, especially for those who have only noticed this feature for the first time.

Other players on SAUbjj’s thread agreed that the wallpaper is indeed very creepy and terrifying. Some mentioned that they wanted the wallpaper for themselves, likely horror fans who would love to apply this wallpaper during the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Halloween season. Others also shared tidbits about how other items in the game also have hidden features such as the red eyes in the Glowing-Moss Ruins Wall, and the UFO or alien that appears on television sets during the early hours of the morning.

As more items keep getting added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players will likely keep discovering new hidden features like the ghost in the Graveyard Wall. With a huge number of items available currently, it will likely be a while until players discover every little interesting thing about each of them in the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
