Nintendo has released a new Animal Crossing: New Horizons video that is all about New Year’s Resolutions. This includes one villager saying their resolution is to catch a coelacanth, which happens to be one of the most difficult fish to catch in the game. Another resolution in the video is for the villager to get to know their friend better, highlighting the gameplay feature where players are able to chat with their neighbors and send them gifts.

The next resolution in the video talks about winning big on the Stalk Market. For the uninitiated, the Stalk Market in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is where players purchase turnips on Sundays with the hope that they can sell them to Nook’s Cranny later in the week at a greater price. Animal Crossing: New Horizons have been able to greatly expand their bells this way.
The next Animal Crossing: New Horizons feature highlighted by the New Year’s Resolution video talks about one’s Custom Designs taking off. Animal Crossing: New Horizons Custom Designs, for the uninitiated, allow players to customize their own clothing in the game.
With all of those New Year’s Resolutions out of the way, the final New Year’s Resolution highlighted in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons video came from none other than Isabelle. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Isabelle works at the Resident Services on the island, which is this game’s equivalent to the town hall in New Leaf. Isabelle starts each day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with a message for players, getting them up to speed on things happening on the island and letting them know if there’s a visitor checking the place out or not. In any case, Isabelle’s New Year’s Resolution is apparently to get through her movie backlog.
Unfortunately, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons New Year’s Resolution video didn’t offer any insight on new content coming to the simulation game in 2021. However, if the rumored Nintendo Direct for January 2021 is real, maybe fans will learn more then.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
