Inventory space in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is precious, and players who are wanting to sell as many fish and bugs as possible with each trip to Nook’s Cranny likely don’t want space wasted on turnips. Unfortunately, players are unable to toss turnips into their home storage, but there are still ways they can put them away for use later.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players that want to get their turnips out of their inventory just need to drop them on the floor of their house. This may not be the most ideal solution, especially when players still have yet to upgrade their Animal Crossing home, but it’s better than just walking around with turnips all week.

Another way players can store their turnips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is by burying them. Unlike when players plant fruit in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, turnips won’t grow into anything when planted. They will instead just be represented by an X on the ground, identical to the one that appears when there’s a fossil to dig up. Players will just need to remember exactly where they buried their turnips for when they decide to sell them to Nook’s Cranny later in the week.

Playing the Stalk Market in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is just one way that players can get a lot of Bells in the game. Players can also use the tarantula island trick to get rich fast, or they can even time travel by changing the time on their system’s clock, though that’s frowned upon by some members of the community.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
