Isabelle from Animal Crossing: New Horizons is traditionally shown to be a cheerful character with a big smile. With her seasonal sweaters, she brings a bit of joy and enthusiasm to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Now one animator has drawn a piece that shows her not having much joy at all.

A Redditor who goes by the handle Wooden-Turtle created an animated piece that shows Isabelle playing Elden Ring. The animation starts with a chibi version of the game, showing the player onscreen walk into a boss section. The boss easily kills the player, sending them to a game over screen, which is followed by a loading screen. All the fonts match with those used in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, adding a nice touch to the animation.

The camera pans out to show the game on a TV screen. That is when a Joy-Con smashes into the TV. It is soon seen that it was Isabelle who threw the Joy-Con out of frustration. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons character lets out a sigh. Isabelle then starts up Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to presumably let off steam, and she chooses to play as herself. The animation is adorable and shows that even Isabelle can get a little angry at Elden Ring.

Wooden-Turtle’s animation has proven to be quite popular. Many find it to be funny, especially when Isabelle throws the controller. They also liked the added touch of her going into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at the end of the video. Wodden-Turtle’s piece even has players wishing that Elden Ring would come to Switch, allowing them to take some rage on the go.

Wooden-Turtle is not the only one creating art for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. An artist by the name of taotaodeli used the bulletin board in the game to create amazing drawings of the various villagers living their lives, showing various holidays and scenes such as New Years Eve. They also drew a number of video game and anime characters, including Portgas D. Ace from One Piece, the protagonist from Persona 5, and Sakura, Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi from Naruto. The pieces all make use of pastel colors and feature incredible detail. The bulletin board allowed taotaodeli to create art in-game that does not have the same cute style as the rest of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, really differentiating it from anything that can be found in the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
